This Linux-based system replaces the original display with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, bringing smartphone navigation, music, calls, messaging and voice assistance into your Audi.

Designed for selected Audi Q7 4L factory multimedia configurations from 2005 to 2014, the system provides access to compatible smartphone apps while retaining access to supported original Audi MMI functions.

Important: Different versions are required for different factory systems. Please confirm your original MMI system before ordering, particularly for vehicles built or registered in 2009.

Linux-Based Infotainment System

This product uses a Linux operating system and is designed primarily for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Android Auto connects a compatible Android phone to the screen; the screen itself does not run the Android tablet operating system.

Standalone Android app installation and Google Play Store access are not included.

Vehicle Compatibility and Version Selection

2005–2009 Version

• For selected Audi Q7 4L vehicles with a compatible earlier factory MMI system
• Typically associated with supported MMI 2G configurations
• An additional Fiber Optical Audio Box may be required to play audio through the original sound system
• Factory multimedia and audio connections must be checked before the correct version is supplied

2009–2014 Version

• For selected Audi Q7 4L vehicles with a compatible later factory MMI system
• Typically associated with supported MMI 3G-family configurations
• The audio connection method depends on the factory system and available audio inputs
• Final compatibility must be confirmed using dashboard and system-information photos

2009 Is a Transition Year: A 2009 vehicle may have an earlier or later MMI system. Please do not select the version based only on the registration year. We will identify the original system before confirming the correct product and any required audio accessories.

Important: Check Your Factory Audio Input

Some Audi Q7 4L vehicles, particularly earlier models with compatible MMI 2G optical audio systems, require an additional Fiber Optical Audio Box (MOST Fiber Optic Audio Interface) to play sound from the upgraded screen through the original amplifier and speakers.

Step 1: Check the Factory Media Menu

Open the original Audi Media menu and check the available audio sources. Look for options such as:

• AUX
• External Audio Device
• External Audio Input

If none of these options is available, an additional audio interface may be required. Please send us a photo of the Media source menu so we can confirm whether your vehicle needs the Fiber Optical Audio Box.

Step 2: Check Inside the Glovebox

Check whether your vehicle has an Audi Music Interface (AMI) connection inside the glovebox. This is an Audi multimedia connection and may require a suitable AMI-to-AUX adapter cable for audio integration.

If a connection is present, please send us a clear photo of the port and any cable already attached to it. The presence of an AMI port alone does not confirm that the correct audio connection is available.

Fiber Optical Audio Box Pricing

• Additional Cost: AUD $350
• Included in the Standard Screen Price: No
• Purpose: Enables audio from the upgraded screen through the compatible original optical audio system
• Requirement: Confirmed according to the available factory audio inputs and original MMI configuration

If required, AUD $350 will be added to the selected screen package price. On these vehicles, the box is necessary to enable audio from the upgraded screen through the original sound system.

Original Audi System Integration

Mazda CarPlay Upgrade: Independent Installation

Complete Upgrade — A$650 incl. GST already includes the genuine OEM USB hub, harness, firmware update, professional installation and testing. Installation and firmware updating are independently provided by Seven Smart Auto. No separate standard installation fee is added for the work included in this package. Allow approximately 90 minutes.

USB Hub Supply & Fit — A$499 incl. GST includes the genuine OEM USB hub, harness, installation and testing when compatible firmware is already installed. Firmware updating is excluded. Allow approximately 30 minutes.

DIY Kit — A$250 incl. GST is supply only. Installation and firmware updating are excluded.

For eligible Mazda vehicles, our firmware update service requires a starting version of 59.00.xxx or above. Compatible 70.00.xxx CarPlay-ready firmware must be in place before the new hub is fitted. Confirm vehicle and firmware compatibility before ordering. Fiat / Abarth 124 Spider vehicles require separate software, screen and CMU hardware checks; the Mazda firmware requirements and package prices must not be assumed to apply. Compatibility and installation pricing must be confirmed before booking.

Return

For eligible change-of-mind returns, contact Seven Smart Auto within 7 calendar days after receiving or collecting the product. You must obtain return authorisation before sending or bringing back a product.

Eligible products must be unused, uninstalled, undamaged, complete and in as-new resaleable condition, with original packaging, accessories and documentation. Installed or used products are generally not eligible for change-of-mind return. Special-order, pre-order, backorder, custom-sourced and vehicle-specific products are generally not eligible once procurement, manufacture, customisation, coding or allocation has commenced.

Change-of-mind cancellations may incur a $20 AUD processing fee once manual processing has commenced, plus actual non-refundable third-party payment processing costs. Return postage, original or actual outbound freight, and reasonable handling or restocking fees may apply as set out in our policy.
